- Joan
Jones, a native Angelino, grew up
on The Sunset Strip's illustrious music
scene. Her first band, SUN 60
released three albums under Sony's
Epic label, SUN 60, ONLY, and
HEADJOY.
-
- After
splitting with her band, Joan teamed up
with celebrated producer, Nick
Didia, to produce her first solo
album STARLITE CRIMINAL released on
Hollywood Records.
-
Nick and Joan assembled an efficient crafty team consisting of such crucial members as Tony Reyes, Eddie Russo, Ritchie Rubini, and Earl Harvin.
-
-
Since the 1998 international release of STARLITE CRIMINAL, Joan found herself touring with the likes of Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Ziggy Marley, Cheap Trick, Seal, Fastball, Shawn Smith, and the 1998 and 1999 Lilith Faires.
-
-
She has been rocking her stuff with a core of players from The Black Cats to SUN 60 alumni players and the Players of Today in intimate acoustic settings to full on rock bands. Her graceful melodies have colored the halls of theaters, hay holding flatbeds under Texas skies, and Bohemian boutiques throughout the U.S. and Canada. She constantly tools her craft in underground songwriters dens where the spontaneity always looms.
-
-
Joan has continued to work with her trusted and talented cohorts Nick and Tony but has added to her team the wits of Micheal Fordays and Tsiggy Birkus. She has released VELVET UNDERDOG - the sarcastic companion to STARLITE CRIMINAL and the ATLANTA SESSIONS - a collection of songs honoring the importance of enduring meaningful friendships.
-
-
Joan is currently working on the release of a new compilation due out early 2006.
