- Happy New Year and welcome to my official website. Arnold Palmer's Restaurant in La Quinta has become my new home away from home. We are there Fridays and Saturdays from 8pm to 11:30pm. It's always a good idea to call ahead & confirm we are there just in case something else might have popped up on the rock radar. You will get to hear songs from my first band, SUN 60, played with a new twist as well as JJ originals. And since we don't take song requests per se...we do take MOOD requests! We play lots of guilty faves to get your groove on! Keith continues to dig and saw into his acoustic guitar carving out crazy combustible rhythms that at times are just shy of rocket lift off! You also never know when our other musical friends might show up and throw down a jam or two! The Spotlight Dancers' hips do not lie! This past weekend we rocked the Humana Pro Players party hosted by Scott and Jennifer McCarron in La Quinta! The Season of Rock is upon us so come on and get down! I have also stumbled upon a cool new shop here in the desert...DIVAS of the DESERT www.divasofthedesert.com 760 771-1511....I will be rocking her stuff on stage and on the streets! One of a kind, slammin' glam to cool casual.....Again! Thanks so much for supporting my music!
Joan Jones, a native Angelino, grew up on The Sunset Strip's illustrious music scene. Her first band, Sun 60, released three albums on Sony's Epic Records label, "SUN 60", "Only", and "Headjoy". The band toured the US and Canada extensively building a loyal fan base.
After SUN 60 broke up, Joan teamed up with celebrated engineer/ producer, Nick Didia, ( Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots and many more...) to produce her first solo album, "Starlite Criminal", on Hollywood Records. She has since followed up with Nick Didia making 3 more albums, "Atlanta Sessions", "Velvet Underdog" and "Brown Blonde".
She has toured with Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Cheap Trick, Fastball, SEAL, Ziggy Marley, Paul Wellar, Fastball, Crowded House, and many more, as well as performed in two Lilith Faire tours.
Joan's music has also been heard on the MTV shows "The Real World", "Road Rules", the WB's "Felicity", "Popular", and "Jack & Jill", and many more shows as well as such films as "So I married an Axe Murderer", "Sugar & Spice", "Babysitter's Club" & "Skulls".
Joan was also a pioneer in scoring the internet cartoon, Prom Queens.
She continues to write songs and keep rocking!
